Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston gave her ECMO, a life-saving intervention. Her condition became severe and she had kidney failure and organ failure which did not heal. Her life became a new routine of hemodialysis and the peritoneal dilation. She finally returned home after eighteen days in hospital, at a point when she was in danger of dying to her long journey back to healthy. Her life had been forever changed. Angelica had been on dialysis for a year-and-ahalf before she was finally ready for the biggest procedure of her life, a kidney transplant. It was her mother who was the one to donate her kidney. Angelica Hale had a successful kidney transplant with her mother on the 13th September 2013. The operation was carried out at Emory University Hospital, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's ambition to be a superstar has never wavered.
